Frequently Asked Questions
Campsite
- Because of the fire risk, no open fires or tin foil barbeques are allowed on site. However, you may use camping stoves or barbeques on legs.
- No glass bottles are allowed on any part of the festival site, including the camping areas.
- Closure: Please note that the campsite closes and must be empty by 12:00 midday on Monday 30th May 2011.
Children
- The Trip Festival is a very child friendly event and a limited number of free child passes will be available.
- Young person passes (10 – 16 years) will be on sale at a substantial reduction in price.
- Anyone under 18 years of age is not able to buy a ticket or attend the festival without an adult.
- Up to 2 children or teenagers can be accompanied by 1 adult when attending.The children’s area has a number of different entertainments and workshops. We do not have crèche facilities at the festival. A fuller list of children’s entertainment and workshops will be announced closer to the time of the festival.
- We advise you to write your mobile number on the arm band of your children so that we can contact you if they become lost.
Disabled Access
Pets
- No pets allowed, except for guide dogs.
Drugs
- The Trip Festival does not condone the use of illegal substances. If you deal drugs you will be evicted from the site. Neither anti-social behaviour nor illegal activity will be tolerated and will lead to eviction from the site.
Live in Vehicles
- There will be an area provided for live in vehicles. Spaces will be very limited and live in vehicle passes will need to be purchased in advance. Live in vehicle passes will not be available at the entrance. Live in vehicles will not be granted access to the site without a pass.
- No cars or live in vehicles will be allowed in other camping areas.
Local Accomodation
- If the thought of camping fills you with fear and loathing, why not try some of the local B&Bs and hotels.

Food & Drink
- There will be licensed bars on site and a variety of delicious food.
First Aid & Lost Property
- There will be a first aid area and lost property.
Toilets
- There will be ample toilets on site as well as standpipes supplying water suitable for drinking and washing.
Other Considerations
- Please do your bit to keep The Trip Festival site clean and tidy. The Vaynol Estate is a stunningly beautiful location and we want to treat the land with the utmost respect.
- Glass: Do not bring any glass on site including camping areas. Please decant your drinks into plastic containers.
- Recycling bins will be available in the camping areas and across the festival site.
- The smoking in public places ban has been around for a while and The Trip Festival is not exempt from this. Smoking will not be permitted in enclosed areas. However, most of the site is outdoors.
- Where smoking is not permitted there will be ‘no smoking’ signs.
